Out of 800 Applicants Coconut Software has been Chosen to Participate in the Google Accelerator for Women

Mountain View, CA – When women build their own businesses, economies grow. Google for Startups Accelerator for Women Founders, a three-month virtual program for technology startups based in the U.S. and Canada, recently announced it’s inaugural cohort. Coconut Software, alongside 11 other tech-based startups, were chosen from over 800 applicants for its first accelerator cohort.

“I’m excited to make the most of this tremendous opportunity.” states Katherine Regnier, Founder and CEO of Coconut Software. “To have access to this type of Google programming will only bolster our company further and make our Canadian tech ecosystem stronger.”

The Google for Startups Accelerator is designed to bring the best of Google’s programs, products, people, and technology to women-led tech startups across the region to strengthen their networks and successfully scale faster. The program is co-led by Ashley Francisco, and Jason Scott, head of startup developer ecosystem in Canada and the US, respectively.

“Coconut Software is evolving the experience between customers and banks,” said Scott. “Founder Katherine Regnier has not only built a strong team and company, but is also passionate about growing Canada’s startup ecosystem, and supporting other startups in the prairies, where Coconut Software was founded.”

Katherine, and Coconut, have been selected for several awards and programs, most recently the WESK Celebration of Achievement Award and the 2020 Women in Tech Silicon Valley Program.

The program is set to start on Sept. 28th through to Dec 4th.
