CEO & FOUNDER
Katherine Regnier
It is a fact that only 6% of Canadian tech startups in Canada are founded by women, Katherine feels fortunate to be one of them. Katherine was proudly born and raised on a grain farm in the Prairies of Saskatchewan. In high school Katherine had to pick between HomeEc and Computer Class. Turns out her not getting along with the HomeEc teacher worked out. In 2007 the idea for Coconut Software was born with a pencil sketch and a 5K loan. Today, Coconut Software is a Customer Engagement Platform trusted by large enterprises such as Canadian Tire, TELUS, and the Royal Bank of Canada.
Earlier this year, BetaKit named Coconut as one of the top 11 companies to watch out for in 2020, and most recently, out of 800 applicants, they were accepted into the North American Google Accelerator. And if that doesn’t keep her busy, her supportive husband Nathan, and their two kiddos – Alexis and Tyson certainly do. And let’s not forget the most recent acquisition of the most cute and adorable “covid” puppy – Gunner.
